Today we learned about fair testing and what colour will heat the thermometer the most from the sun. We all had different results so we discussed the word variable and what it means in terms of our results.
Yesterday we learned a game called Horu Hopu with Matua Daiminn. The game involves swinging a poi around and throwing it to a person in your team who then throws it to another person in your team who shoots at goal. We all had a lot of fun learning how to play the game and can't wait for the next time we play!
On Wednesday evening we talked to our parents about our learning maps. It was great to be able to tell our parents who helps us learn, what helps us learn and where we learn best.
It was a great evening especially the sausage sizzle!
Last week we played a game called Chuck the Chicken. It was a game where you had to throw the chicken and run around your team whilst they went over and under until there whole team had finished. Next you swap over and try and make as many points as you can. The winning team is the team that makes 100 points first.
On Thursday St Johns came in to school and we learned how to make a sling for a broken arm. It was great to learn all about first aide and I really enjoyed the visit.
