Posters on Pies

We came up with our fillings for pies and then designed a poster advertising them. We can't wait to taste these pies!!

Report Writing on Kai & Diorama's

We really enjoyed working on our report writing on Wild Kai and making a diorama to go with our fantastic writing on our chosen topic.

Vaz the Magician!

Last week we had Vaz the Magician come to school and teach us all about healthy eating and the benefits of regular exercise. It was awesome to see Olivia and Zac get up on stage and help Vaz out!

Procedural Writing

We are learning to follow numbered steps to complete a ladder, a bird or a whistle. This week we will be writing our own procedure!

Number Circles

Here is our class learning our multiplication times tables by playing a game Miss Joblin made up called Number Circles. Hwre are the steps to playing the game. 1. Write four numbers around the circle and two must be between 5-10. 2. Find two counters. 3. Find a partner. 4. Throw counters on the board. 5. Times the two numbers together. 5. Try to work the awswer out. 6. Swap over and let your partner have a turn.

Persuasive Writing

In Tanemahuta we have been busy writing persuasive arguments about what is the best fruit, what is the best pet, Should children have homework. We have been learning to write in paragraphs and start our sentences with capital letters.
